Towing service in the Denver metro
Winch-outs and stuck cars
A car that slid off the road or sank into snow often just needs a pull back to solid ground. If nothing is broken, you drive away and skip the tow.

Before you call
Stay in the car with your seatbelt on if you are on a busy road and can't get well away from traffic. Turn on the hazard lights. If snow buries the tailpipe, clear it. If you can't, shut the engine off, because exhaust can build up inside the car.
What to tell the company
- How far off the road the car is, and whether it is on its side or tipped.
- If it's in snow or mud, or down in a ditch.
- Whether anything is broken, such as a wheel bent under or fluid leaking.
A car that is level and undamaged can usually be pulled out and driven. One that hit something on the way may need a flatbed after the winch.
Storm days
NOAA's Storm Events Database logs about 4 winter storm episodes a year across the Denver metro counties (2016 to 2025). On those days every towing company in town is busy, and some add a storm or recovery charge. Ask for the total, and ask how long the wait is likely to be, before you commit.
If police are on the scene of a pile-up, follow their direction. After a crash.
Questions Denver drivers ask
Can I pull my own car out?
Sometimes, with traction mats or a friend's truck and a proper strap, on a quiet road. On a highway shoulder, or with the car tipped, leave it to a recovery truck.
